Burn (Rephaim 4): cover, release dates and stuff

Yes, I’ve been a tad remiss with my updates of late, so here’s a quick summary of where it’s all at as far as Burn (fourth and final book in The Rephaim series) is concerned.

Burn is written! It still needs tweaking and polishing, but I’m quietly happy with how it’s all come together. And no, this doesn’t mean it will be out any earlier. πŸ™‚ Sorry. Publishing schedules are pretty much set in stone.

We also have release dates:
Australia/New Zealand (Text Publishing): 24 June 2015
United Kingdom (Indigo/Orion Books): 5 August 2015
US/Canada (Tundra/Random House Canada): 2016

And in case you missed it…here’s the kick-arse cover.

  1. Nikki Cheah Attenbrough says:

Hi! Will Burn be available in e-book form by June?

    1. paulaweston says:

      Hi πŸ™‚
Yes, Burn will be available in ebook the same time it comes out in paperback in Australia (24 June 2015).
(In the UK it will be available in both formats from 5 August 2015. And in the US, it will be June 2016, with Shimmer a few months earlier in March 2016.)

  2. nomesr says:

I LOVE the final cover, Paula! Love the boots and the jacket and the partial face πŸ™‚ The colous are awesome, too, and love how they did the colours in your name, Seriously cannot wait to have it on my shelf (mostly, though, I just cannot wait to READ IT). June doesn’t seem too far away, technically… but it still feels like it’s in the far off way too distant future.

it must be awesome to have finished and also sad and strange (to not be spending time with gaby and the gang in your head all the time). Hope you are well and looking forward to more news form you in 2015 xo

    1. nomesr says:

sorry i am so shamefully late to the party! X)

      1. paulaweston says:

Not at all. Have been meaning to email you for weeks, which I’ll do now!

      2. paulaweston says:

Oh, and I love the cover too. πŸ™‚

    2. paulaweston says:

Thanks Nomes! Yes, it all still feels a bit surreal to be coming to the end of their adventure. I’ve still got line edits to go, so it’s not quite over yet – and I always enjoy that process, so I’m looking forward to the polishing!

  3. rlsharpe says:

June! Now you have me wishing half the year away and it hasn’t even started! What an amazing cover, I love it! Can’t wait to read Burn, though I don’t want the series to end!

    1. paulaweston says:

Thanks Rochelle! Hope your writing is going well. πŸ™‚

      1. rlsharpe says:

It’s going great, Paula. If everything stays on track I can start submitting to agents early next year πŸ™‚

        1. paulaweston says:

          Excellent! πŸ™‚

  4. Lauren says:

I’m so excited for this book! This is the best series I have ever read, and can’t wait to see how it all plays or for Gaby, Rafa and Jude. πŸ™‚

    1. paulaweston says:

      Thanks Lauren! πŸ™‚

  5. Oh, I am so ready to love this book! I need it like air πŸ˜€

About Me

I’m the author of the Rephaim series and The Undercurrent.

For my day job, I’m a writer-journalist-professional communicator, where my writing involves a lot less profanity.

I grew up in regional South Australia and now live in Brisbane with my husband and a retired greyhound.

If you’re interested in how I came to land a publishing deal, you can read the short version in this post from August 2011. There’s a longer version (in a guest post) here.
