    Hi Paula,
I’m 16 and The Rephaim series is my favourite. I love reading them, I love the way you have written the books. When the series is finished could you please continue to write books like The Rephaim series.

Hopefully one day the could become movies.

      Hi Talia,
Thank you so much for the message. I’m so happy you’re loving the series. I hope you enjoy Burn just as much! And yes, I’m already dabbling with the next story I want to tell beyond the Rephaim series. It won’t be about angels, but hopefully it will still tick all the right boxes. 🙂

Love the series. Just finished Shimmer and dont think I can’t wait for Burn. June is too fad away ?

    1. paulaweston says:

      Thanks Cynthia. 🙂
(And seriously, June will be here before we know it.)

I originally came across your books accidentally a few months ago and was instantly hooked! I have just reread the first 3 again and seriously looking forward to to the final book! Love reading books from local writers and in towns that I know or that I can see them being set in. Good luck with your editing and hope to be reading BURN soon 🙂

    1. paulaweston says:

Thanks Danielle! I’m so pleased you’re enjoying the series. Burn is due out on 24 June next year – which will be here before we know it. 🙂

After burn will there be another book or are there only going to be 4 books?

    1. paulaweston says:

Hi Caitlin. Burn will be the last one in the series. 🙂

      1. Caitlin says:

        Oh okay thanks 🙂

Hi Paula loving this story line I just purchased Shimmer last night and finished it this afternoon, when I finished the book I thought there must be another book surely!! I did my research and see there is one more book to the series, do you have a date for the release of the 4th book? I,m Left in suspense……..

    1. paulaweston says:

Thanks Rose! Burn is due for release around this time next year in Australia, NZ and UK. Yes, I know…a whole year, but hopefully the wait will be worth it. I’m well advanced with the first draft (almost finished – with LOTS of editing to do afterwards!), and I’m quite happy with how everything is coming together so far.

  7. Alli says:

Will Burn be the last book in the series? Also, when will it come to USA??? Love your writing style and can’t wait!!!

    1. paulaweston says:

      Thanks Alli. 🙂
Yes, Burn will be the fourth and final book. Haze (#2) is out in USA this September with Shimmer (#3) in June 2015. Burn will follow after that (not sure of exact date, but possibly early 2016).

  8. Kayla says:

    Oh, my.

Originally my friend who works at a bookstore knowing how much i love to read (she’s not really into the angel theme) gave me shadows…

It’s a phenomenal book, one of my favorites, unfortunately the release date for haze still feels so far away since I’m in Canada, so I’m trying to pace my self. It physical hurts.

Thank you for an amazing book, and outstanding job for your first one!

I’m excited for the rest of your books to come out.

    Sincerely;

    Your new book follower,

    Kayla Rowe

    1. paulaweston says:

Thanks Kayla! I’m so pleased you enjoyed Shadows so much. Hope you love Haze too.

September will be here before we know it. And if it’s any consolation, you get the lovely hard cover versions of my books in your part of the world. 🙂

      Happy reading!

      Paula

About Me

I’m the author of the Rephaim series and The Undercurrent.

For my day job, I’m a writer-journalist-professional communicator, where my writing involves a lot less profanity.

I grew up in regional South Australia and now live in the Scenic Rim with my husband and a retired greyhound.

If you’re interested in how I came to land a publishing deal, you can read the short version in this post from August 2011. There’s a longer version (in a guest post) here.
